The Most Expensive Godzilla Endless Wars Cards

The most expensive card in Endless Wars is not a Godzilla. It is Akane Yashiro, the pilot of the MFS-3, and it leads the set at roughly double the next card because of something no other card in this game has: a hot-stamped signature. Once you know that, the rest of the list is straightforward. Everything behind it is Godzillas, and every one of them is a premium printing.

What is worth the most right now

Values are per card and update daily. The card at the top is a special case, explained just below. After it the list settles into a pattern: Godzillas, all of them carrying a plus or a double plus on the card number.

Akane Yashiro, The MFS-3 Unit, numbered EBP04-077+, carries a hot-stamped facsimile of handwriting by Yumiko Shaku, the actress who played Akane Yashiro in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla in 2002. The stamp is applied over an alternate art, which makes it a signature card rather than a parallel of the ordinary printing, and it is the only card of its kind in the entire Godzilla Card Game: every other premium printing in the catalogue, across every set, is a foil or an alternate art. At the time of writing it sits around 750 dollars, more than double the card behind it. The two tiles here are the same character on the same card number, the plain printing and the stamped one, which is the clearest way to see what you are paying for.

Below Akane the set behaves normally, and the monsters take over. At the time of writing Godzilla (2004) sits around 305 dollars and Godzilla Ultima near 179, and both carry a plus on the card number. That suffix is how this game marks a premium printing: a card ending in a plus is a step up from the base printing, a double plus is a step up again, and the three are separate entries on the checklist rather than three finishes of one card. So EBP04-024 and EBP04-024+ are two different cards sharing a line, and it is always the suffixed one that carries the money.

Half the top ten is a single card family

The other pattern is stranger and more useful. Five of the ten most valuable cards in Endless Wars are Rage cards, the double-plus printings numbered in the E and EGZ series, and at the time of writing they sit tightly bunched between roughly 72 and 85 dollars. The family is bigger than it looks: eleven Rage cards, each printed three times as a base, a plus and a double plus, which is thirty-three entries from eleven checklist lines. A run of near-identical values across them is a supply signal rather than a demand one: these are cards that entered the market in similar numbers and are wanted for the same reason, so the market prices them as a set rather than individually. If you are buying rather than opening, that cluster is the most predictable thing in the set.

The best thing in this set is easy to miss on a checklist, because it is split across two entries. EBP04-067+ is the Godzilla Earth battle card and EBP04-T01+ is the Godzilla Earth token that card puts into play, and in their premium printings the two alternate arts are one continuous image: put them together, one above the other, and the picture completes. Both are landscape cards, which is what makes the join work and is unusual in a game where almost everything is portrait. At the time of writing the battle card sits around 150 dollars and the token near 100, so the full picture costs roughly 250 dollars to assemble and both halves sit inside the set's top five. It is also the one chase here where owning one half is visibly not the same as owning the thing.

A reprint can outrank the set it is printed in

The Godzilla (2004) card above does not carry an Endless Wars number. It is EBP01-008+, a card from the first booster reprinted here and keeping its original number. That is normal in this game and worth knowing before you buy: the same number can sit in more than one set, and the copy in your hand belongs to whichever set it was printed in. Each printing is catalogued separately with its own value, so the two are never merged into one row.

What each rarity is worth

The live table below breaks the set down one row per rarity, with a median and a range so a single expensive card cannot make a tier look richer than it is, plus a coverage figure so you can see how much data sits behind each row. Read it next to the ranking above: the tiers at the top are thin, and a thin tier with a high median is telling you about scarcity rather than about demand.

Median of the priced cards in each rarity, with the typical range in brackets, built from the 216 of 216 cards in this set that currently carry a value. Estimates are blended from real market activity, not appraisals, and a rarity with only a few priced cards is a thinner signal than one with many.

Tracking what you pull

The whole set is catalogued, plus and double-plus printings included, so marking a pull is a tap rather than a form. Because each printing is its own card, a collection shows the base card and its premium printings separately rather than collapsing them into one row, and set completion counts them honestly. Values update daily against what you own, and a card without enough market activity behind it shows as not valued yet rather than as zero. Browse the Endless Wars card list.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most expensive Endless Wars card?

Akane Yashiro, The MFS-3 Unit, the printing numbered EBP04-077+. It leads the set by a wide margin, at roughly double the next card, which is unusual for a Godzilla set where the monsters normally lead. The live ranking at the top of this page carries the current figure.

Why is the Akane Yashiro card so expensive?

Because it is a signature card. The EBP04-077+ printing carries a hot-stamped facsimile of handwriting by Yumiko Shaku, the actress who played Akane Yashiro in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla in 2002, applied over an alternate art. Nothing else in the Godzilla Card Game is printed that way, so it is not a tier you can chase in other sets, it is one card.

What does the plus on a Godzilla card number mean?

It marks a premium printing. A card number ending in a plus is a step above the base printing of that card, and a double plus is a step above that again, so the base card and its plus printings are separate entries on the checklist rather than finishes of one card. Every card in this set's top ten carries a plus or a double plus.

Why is a card from an older set in the Endless Wars list?

Because Godzilla reprints cards into later boosters and a reprint keeps the card number it was first printed with. Godzilla (2004) is numbered EBP01-008+ but is printed in Endless Wars, so it appears in this set's list under its original number. Each printing is catalogued in the set that actually contains it, with its own value.

Do any Godzilla cards join together to make one picture?

Yes. In Endless Wars the premium printings of Godzilla Earth do exactly that: the battle card numbered EBP04-067+ and the token numbered EBP04-T01+ carry one continuous artwork across the two cards, and both are landscape rather than portrait so they stack into a single image. Both sit in the set's top five by value, so completing the picture is one of the more expensive things you can do in the set.

Are the Rage cards worth collecting?

They are the most predictable part of the set. Five of the ten most valuable cards in Endless Wars are Rage double-plus printings from the E and EGZ number series, and they sit in a tight band rather than spread out, which usually means they entered the market in similar numbers. Eleven Rage cards each exist as a base, a plus and a double plus, so the family is far larger than its checklist lines suggest, and that makes it easier to price and easier to trade than a single outlier chase.
