Cardsmiths Currency Series 5 Value List and Print Runs

Series 5 is the biggest Currency release Cardsmiths has made: 135 all-new Collector Cards, a deeper artist roster, and the largest run of Cryptocurrency Redemption Cards the line has carried. It is also the set collectors most often want priced and completed, and there is a lot to account for once every parallel and gemstone sits on top of the base list. This guide covers what is in the set, what the chases are, and where the value sits.

167 cards in this set, catalogued and ready to track.

The base set runs to 135 Collector Cards covering the figures, artifacts, currencies and memes behind the modern economy, with themes spanning traditional finance, decentralised systems, blockchain and chart-based technical analysis. The artist roster is a large part of the appeal here: Gunship Revolution Studios, Jon McTavish, Rachid Lotf and Thomas Zahler all return, joined by street artist Mr. Brainwash and urban contemporary artist Sam Flores.

The Gemstone Refractor ladder for this set

Gemstone Refractors are the serialised heart of the chase, and Series 5 carries the deepest ladder in the line, including Tanzanite and Blue Topaz which were introduced with this release. Print runs are fixed per gemstone, so a complete tier is a countable target rather than an open question. Onyx and Diamond are the one-of-ones at the top.

The tiers that arrive after the set does

Three tiers reach Series 5 on a different schedule from the rest. Snowflake, Sol and Diamond are issued through the seasonal and event releases rather than main series packs, and then applied back to a main series checklist. Series 5 Snowflakes arrived with the Holiday 2025 set, and Series 5 Sol and Diamond followed in Summer 2026 as part of the summer convention promos. It is worth knowing when you are judging how close a Series 5 master set really is, because a tier can land months after the set itself.

Parallels, inserts and the crypto redemptions

Above the base cards sit the non-serialised parallels: Rainbow Holofoil, Iced Foil, Crystal Sparkle and Matrix Foil, plus four Topaz styles in Mystic, Imperial, Pink and Twilight. Then the short-run inserts: Cold Foil, Double-Sided Holo Foil banknote cards, Meta-Rare Refractors and a small run of GameStop Exclusives. The headline chase is separate again. Cardsmiths calls Series 5 its largest-ever offering of Cryptocurrency Redemption Cards, redeemable for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dogecoin, with 1 BTC and 1 ETH among the top hits.

Tracking a set this size

Between the base list, the parallels, sixteen gemstone tiers and the inserts, Series 5 is a set where knowing exactly where you are matters. Every card and every treatment is catalogued, so you mark what you pull and completion updates as you go, counting each tier separately. Record the serial numbers on your numbered copies, keep a want list for the tiers you are still chasing, and the dashboard will show how the set is filling up next to the rest of your collection.

What Series 5 cards are worth

Value follows the ladder, and the steps between tiers are large. The table below is live: it takes the priced cards in each tier and shows the median with a typical range, updated daily. A few tiers are shown rather than all eighteen, because the shape is the point. Note the coverage column, since a median built on a handful of priced cards is a thinner signal than one built on the whole tier, and the scarcest tiers are always the thinnest.

Onyx/1$2,900.001 of 140

Frequently asked questions

How many cards are in Cardsmiths Currency Series 5?
The base set is 135 Collector Cards. Counting every parallel, gemstone tier and insert, the full Series 5 checklist runs to several thousand distinct cards, which is why completion is usually tracked per treatment rather than as one number.
What are the Series 5 Gemstone Refractor print runs?
Tanzanite /299, Blue Topaz /199, Beryl /149, Emerald /99, Garnet /75, Silver /50, Amethyst /49, Opal /45, Jade /45, Citrine /40, Ruby /25, Aquamarine /15, Gold /10, Sapphire /5, Snowflake /3, Sol /3, Diamond /1 and Onyx /1. Each is a fixed run, so a tier is a countable target.
Where do Series 5 Snowflake, Sol and Diamond cards come from?
Not from Series 5 packs. Those three tiers are issued through the seasonal and event releases and then applied back to the Series 5 checklist. Series 5 Snowflakes arrived with the Holiday 2025 set, and Series 5 Sol and Diamond followed in Summer 2026 with the summer convention promos.
What are the Series 5 crypto redemption cards?
Cryptocurrency Redemption Cards are randomly inserted and redeemable for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin or Dogecoin in varying amounts, with 1 BTC and 1 ETH among the top hits. Cardsmiths describes Series 5 as its largest offering of them so far, at published odds of 1 in 192 Mega Box packs.
How much are Cardsmiths Currency Series 5 cards worth?
HoloHoard shows a daily value estimate per treatment for cards with enough market activity behind them, and totals your collection from those. Cards without enough data show as not valued yet. Values are estimates blended from real market activity, not appraisals.
