Freedom Ascension [GD05] is out now: the fifth booster set for the Gundam Card Game and its official 1st anniversary expansion, released globally on July 24, 2026. The milestone set brings long-awaited debuts for some of the franchise's most iconic mobile suits, a brand-new rarity, and a record-sized top-end chase. The full card list is browsable on HoloHoard.
GD05 marks one year of the Gundam Card Game and celebrates it with a lineup of over 138 main cards, specialized foil treatments, and parallel cards throughout. The headline additions are mobile suits fans have been waiting on since launch. Strike Freedom Gundam arrives as a Blue card archetype linked with Kira Yamato, ν Gundam makes its long-awaited debut, and Domon with Shining Gundam headlines White card strategies featuring Command cards like Shining Finger. Popular mobile suits from past series join the lineup one after another, with cards designed to serve as the core of a deck.

GD05 debuts the Link Rare rarity, featuring linked Units and Pilots together. Link Rares are included as parallel cards of cards featured in the set, with special designs showcasing memorable pairings from across the franchise.
The 1st anniversary brings a stacked top end. SP Card EX Resources make their first appearance, featuring female characters in gorgeous dedicated artwork. Eight popular Pilot Cards are included as SP Card versions. And at the very top sit the LR++ cards: a record-high five types in one set, evolved into powerful designs worthy of the highest rarity and featuring combinations of Pilots and Mobile Suits.
