WeirdCo has published the full contents of both Cyberpunk TCG starter decks, Embracing Power and The Heist, as more than 50,000 Kickstarter backers start receiving them. Both are ready to play out of the box: three Legends, a 40 card main deck and six dice. Both also print cards you cannot get anywhere else, which turns them from an on-ramp into checklist entries. Every card from both decks is already in the HoloHoard catalogue, so you can see exactly what is in each one before it reaches hobby stores later this year.
Embracing Power puts the Arasaka Corporation behind you, led by Goro Takemura: Hands Unclean, Yorinobu Arasaka: Embracing Destruction and Saburo Arasaka: Stubborn Patriarch, all three printed for this deck. The main deck is built from 17 distinct cards, running Red and Green, which is the deck's whole personality: Red maximizes and takes its fights head on, Green lines its Gig values up and strikes once they match. The publisher's spotlights are Minotaur, a high power Unit that rewards holding more Street Cred than your Rival; Mantis Blades, which grants +2 Power for a single Eddie; and Sandevistan, which readies the Unit it is on so your Rival cannot hit back. The Heist takes the other side of the Night City story with V: Corporate Exile, Viktor Vektor: Sit Down and Relax and Jackie Welles: Pour One Out For Me, again exclusive to the deck. It runs Yellow and Blue across 17 distinct main-deck cards, and those two colours explain why it plays slower and more precisely: Yellow is the gear colour and Blue minimizes and disables, so the deck rewards keeping your Street Cred low and holds Quick Programs to swing a fight after it has started. The spotlights here are MT0D12 Flathead, a sellable Unit that pays off a low Street Cred; Zetatech Faceplate, which adds power, moves your Gigs and draws; and Offduty Malfini, an early Unit you can spend before your Rival can chrome up. Both decks carry cards printed for that product and nowhere else, Legends included. That is what makes a starter deck part of a complete first set rather than a convenience purchase, and it is the kind of detail that gets lost once product is open and sleeved. Each deck is catalogued as its own set on HoloHoard, so you can see at a glance which cards it is the only source of and mark them off separately from your booster pulls.

Starter decks from the Kickstarter campaign carry a Beta symbol, and the retail decks arriving later this year do not. Same card lists, two printings. HoloHoard holds each one as its own set with its own numbering, so a backer who also picks up the retail decks tracks both instead of losing the distinction.
A starter deck is usually where a Cyberpunk TCG collection starts, and it is a good place to set it up properly. Mark the deck off in one go, then let a deck list hold the build you are working toward, including the cards you have not picked up yet, and a want list carry the Secrets and Nova Rares you are hunting. All of it stays connected to the wider card pool as boosters land.
