The Morgan Dollar, named after its designer George T. Morgan, was minted from 1878 to 1904, and again in 1921. This silver dollar is known for its depiction of Lady Liberty's profile on the obverse and an eagle with outstretched wings on the reverse. The Morgan Dollar is one of the most collected US coins, with the 1895 proof issue being one of the rarest and most coveted by numismatists.
