Nefertiti (meaning the beautiful one has come") was the wife of Egyptian King Akhenaten who ruled during the middle part of the 14th century BCE. Thought to possibly have been co-ruler with her husband, she helped to usher in a period of monotheism and implement various economic reforms during their reign.
