Born in 1881, Ludwig Heinrich Edler von Mises was an Austrian economist and author. His 1912 work, The Theory of Money and Credit, introduced the concept of monetary theory and his regression theorem. His most famous work, Human Action, outlined the benefits of a laissez-faire system of limited government interaction in markets and the economy in general.
