Blaise Pascal was a French mathematician and physicist best known for his work on probabilities and fluid dynamics, for which he established Pascal's Law (Principle). Pascal was also a religious philosopher. In his work Pensées he laid out a case for believing in God that historjans later dubbed "Pascal's Wager."
