Benjamin Franklin was an American diplomat, writer, publisher, inventor, and entrepreneur. As a publisher, Franklin oversaw the printing of paper money for several American colonies and is credited with having anonymously written the pamphlet A Modest Enquiry into the Nature and Necessity of a Paper Currency.
