Sam Bankman-Fried, or "SBF", was the founder of FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange that filed for bankruptcy in 2022. Before being indicted in U.S. courts on charges such securities fraud, money laundering, and wire fraud, SBF did hold distinction of being a Fortune 400 member of the richest people on the planet. Bankman-Fried was also said to have led a very "interesting" social life.
