Dating back to as far as the 8th century AD, Hawala is, Hawala is an informal system for transferring money through a system of debits and credits kept on ledgers by dealers within various Hawala networks. A person in one region or country can send money to someone in another area by proviging a local Hawala with, the funds. The money is distributed to the designated person by their local dealer and the transaction is recorded on both sides without money ever moving through the network.
