Cleopatra was the Queen of Egypt from 51 to 30 BC. During her reign she provided military aid to Marc Antony and funded his invasions into modern-day Iran and Armenia. After Marc Antony's defeat by Octavian, Cleopatra committed suicide rather than being a part of Octavian's Triumphal Procession. Many scholars consider Cleopatra to be the last Pharaoh of Egypt, ending the dynastic rule which had lasted for over 5,000 years.
