Unalienable rights are rights that, no matter what happens, may never be taken away from an individual. They are inherited by all people and fundamental parts of humanity, the basis for moral interactions between people, and are irrevocable. No government or individual has the right to infringe upon another individual's unalienable rights. It was Thomas Jefferson who drafted the Declaration of Independence in 1775, and part of this important document is the term �life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.� �We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.� � Thomas Jefferson
