Where the English Pokémon Trading Card Game began, and still the most collected set in the hobby. Sixteen holo rares top the run, with Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur the three everyone hunts, and the 1st Edition Charizard the most valuable card of the whole game. This listing holds the Unlimited prints with the standard drop shadow on the art frame; the Shadowless and 1st Edition prints are their own set. Machamp sits here as the one card with no plain print, since it came only in the 2-Player Starter Set and always carries the 1st Edition stamp. The Charizard with a black-dot factory defect is listed as its own card. Set code BS.
